NEW SCIENCE ADVISER

PROF. ALAN DUFFY

We're thrilled to welcome Professor Alan Duffy to the Bohdee team as our Science Adviser.

Alan’s one of Australia’s leading astronomers and a brilliant science communicator. He’s currently the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Flagship Initiatives) at Swinburne University of Technology, where his work spans dark matter, space science, and muon tech. You’ve probably seen him pop up on telly or heard him on the radio, breaking down big, complex science into stuff that actually makes sense.

Here’s what our Managing Director, Adam Boland, had to say: "I consider Alan to be one of the best science communicators in Australia. His passion for science and determination to get things right will take Bohdee’s storytelling to the next level."

As Science Adviser, Alan will help guide our science storytelling — making sure it’s not just engaging but grounded in facts. He’ll also keep us connected to what’s happening in the scientific world and help us communicate those ideas in a way that resonates with all kinds of audiences.

On joining Bohdee, Alan shared: "In today’s information landscape, delivering accurate and engaging science stories is more crucial than ever. I’m excited to collaborate with Bohdee Media to bridge the gap between complex scientific research and the public, fostering a well-informed community."

This partnership is a big step forward for us and a reflection of what we care about most — telling stories that matter.
